Posy’s Story …
Posy, as her name suggests, is a little girl who loves flowers. Springtime finds her busy during early morning hours, gathering blossoms while dew is on the petals and the day is still cool.
Returning home with a basket full of flowers, Posy gets busy at her workbench. There are many wooden pegs on the wall above the workbench where spools of colorful ribbon and tulle hang. Taking a bit of tulle and a bit of ribbon or string, Posy fashions the blossoms into little nosegays to be given to a friend, a neighbor, or to a passerby.
Later in the year, just before the days begin to get short, Posy gathers blossoms to be dried so she can continue her gift-giving throughout the winter months. She adds colorful berries to the dried blossoms for extra color. Dozens of bunches of dried flowers hang topsy-turvy above her workbench waiting for winter. After all, she has work to do, spreading her spirit of kindness during the coldest winter months when her friends are nestled up at their hearths near their warm fires. Most times, she is greeted by her smiling friends with a sugar biscuit and a cup of hot chocolate to warm her mittened hands. She joins them at the hearth and while the burning logs crackle, they reminisce about what exciting things the Spring will bring.
The pattern used to make Posy’s body was purchased from FigandMe.com.
