Rhonda’s Story …
Kittens … butterflies ... and fireflies! Rhonda enjoys late afternoons in the gentle light, watching her kitten playfully swat at butterflies; waiting for the dusk that will bring the fireflies. With a glass jar in hand, ever ready, she awaits that first glimmer when she will begin a new chase, hoping for a firefly lantern.
With fireflies in her lidded jar, holes punched for airflow, she eventually lays her head on her pillow. “Just a few minutes more”, she says. Then when her eyelids get heavy, she gently lifts the jar. Taking it to her window, she releases the fireflies out into the night sky. “Enjoy the morning dew,” she calls after them, “I’ll see you another day”.
